Facilities & Services

At Edison Schools, we are committed to providing a safe and professional educational environment. We have invested in building a spacious and modern campus covering a total area of 21,000m² in the Aquabay area of Ecopark Township, Hung Yen. Notably, the construction density of the school is just over 20%, leaving the majority of the space dedicated to greenery, outdoor sports, and activities.

01. Classrooms

The classroom buildings are designed in a modern, healthy way with surrounding red brick walls, giving Edison an intimate name “The Red Brick Schools”. Classrooms have an average area of about 60m2 with a design that ensures natural light for each class and ample space for 30-35 students / class. The classrooms are equipped with modern and beautiful equipment with intelligent interactive whiteboard (IWB), school network connection, two-way air-conditioning system, students’ products display shelves, etc. They really help to inspire students to learn. Tables and chairs are designed flexibly to help teachers and students arrange different sitting models to suit each teaching content.

02. Funtion Rooms

The Physics – Chemistry – Biology Laboratories

The Physics – Chemistry – Biology Laboratories are equipped with diverse and vivid learning materials, suitable for each educational level in accordance with the program standards. Large laboratory space with tables and chairs and electric lines on the tabletop creates favorable conditions for students to practice the experiments.

The STEM-Robotics spacious rooms

The STEM-Robotics spacious rooms with low table system facilitates the students’ creativity and group communication. All Robotic tools are imported from the United States according to the curriculum standards of Lego Education. The laptop computer system connected to the robots ensures the effective operation during students’ practices.

The Computer Science Rooms

The Computer Science Rooms are equipped with modern desktops and laptops, meeting the requirements of equipping students with knowledge and skills in hardware, software and necessary applications, as well as enhancing student’s learning efficiency.

The Music Rooms

The Music Rooms with various instruments, such as guitar, cajon drum, flute, etc. effectively serve the school’s music program, and become a familiar space for bands’ practice, clubs, and concerts of talented students and music enthusiasts.

The Art Rooms

The Art Rooms with glass doors, overlooking the outer space inspire students’ creativity. These rooms are equipped with brushes, ink, picture frames …, suitable for every topic and content of the lesson. The best products of students are displayed in exhibitions in the school yard and hall.

The Family Skill Rooms

The Family Skill Rooms are equipped with a professional Master Chef model with the most modern cooking stoves, sinks and appliances. Equipment such as induction stoves, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators and fresh ingredients help students get excited and love every hour of practice. Dance Rooms with large mirror system and wooden handrails are definitely the favorite study space for students who are passionate about this art.

The Libraries

The Libraries are the Eddies’ favorite spaces with lots of interesting books, inspiring reading corners with low tables and chairs, lazy bags and window shelves. School also organizes activities to introduce new books, let students share their favorite books in the library time.

The Multi-function Room

The Multi-function Room is designed for physical lessons (when the weather is not good for outdoor activities) with full system of ceiling lights, air conditioners … and can accommodate up to 700 people. This is where many impressive matches of Primary Badminton, Basketball and Eddie Fair activities take place.

The Dance Rooms

The Dance Rooms with large mirror system and wooden handrails are definitely the favorite study space for students who are passionate about this art.

The Martial Arts Rooms

The Martial Arts Rooms equipped with specialized cushions, belt systems, gloves and professional tools are a favorite space for many martial arts enthusiasts.

School Counseling Room

School Counseling Room staffed with specialized teachers, this room serves as a hub for sharing, support, and guidance, helping students develop positive qualities, emotional control skills, and maturity in relationships.

Medical Room

Medical Room equipped with modern medical equipment and staffed by qualified personnel, this facility provides primary and secondary health care, daily health consultations, and safety care for students.

03. Canteen

The cafeteria is an area that is always kept clean with a system of plastic doors and blinds that prevent insects. The cafeteria is also equipped with a heating shelf system to keep food warm, a dish dryer, tables and chairs arranged for separate classes … The menu is published weekly, helping families guide the children to choose the dishes that suit their interests and health.

04. Playing field

With two basketball courts and one football field designed to meet standards of quality and specifications, this is a favorite area for students interested in sports. This is also the place where exciting tournaments take place during the school year such as basketball, football, martial arts…

05. Playground

This is an area designed specifically for Primary Eddies. Playground is a vibrant destination in Circle Time, break time, after-school time with items designed flexibly and safely, including slides, seesaw, mesh, spinning pillars … The platform of the playground is designed with soft rubber mattresses to create smoothness and safety for students.

01. Semi-boarding service

The school provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and drinks for students during school time.
  • Parents can choose whether or not to use the school’s daycare service.
  • Parents can choose whether or not to use breakfast service at school. However, the school encourages parents to sign up for the student to use semi-boarding services to give children time to relax, and more opportunities to participate in group activities, share and learn more from friends.
  • The school commits that semi-boarding services provided to Students are not for business purposes. The school does not charge for daycare. – The full published boarding fee is paid for students’ breakfast, lunch, brunch and drinks.
  • The school commits to the origin and quality of food and drinking water. The school kitchen system meeting the standards of food safety and hygiene according to current regulations ensures to provide students with nutritious, healthy and safe meals.
  • The school has separate Kitchen and Canteen, with Kitchen Supervisor, Chef, Sous-chef, and other staff members as official school employees.
  • The menu is made public 1 week in advance on the school’s information channels for parents and students to know and choose.

Thực đơn bữa sáng luôn bao gồm hai lựa chọn: món khô (xôi, bánh mỳ, cơm rang...) và món nước (phở, bún...)

02. Nap time after lunch

Nap time after lunch varies by age and school level.

  • Grades 1 – 6: Students take a nap in the classroom.
  • From grades 7 to 12: There are two options:
    – For those who need a nap: Students take a nap at separate rooms for boys and girls.
    – For those who do not need to take a nap: Students participate in individual activities at the Library, Free break room, Sports ground … under the supervision of teachers.

Method of organizing and arranging classes:

  • Each classroom has a private locker system where students can store shoes, clothes, sleeping bags, backpacks and other essentials.
  • During nap time after lunch, students use sleeping bags with thick back cushions in the classroom, and store sleeping bags in their personal lockers. Sleeping bags are owned by students and taken home at the end of each week for cleanliness.

In order to create favorable conditions and ensure safety for students’ transportation, the school provides bus service for students in need, from Primary to High School. The routes are covered throughout the main streets of Hanoi and are always accompanied by supervisors.

01. Operation

  • Pick-up/Drop-off: There are two options for parents to choose: one is to have children to be picked up/dropped off according to the fixed route; one is to have children picked up/dropped off at Home.
  • The route of each bus with specific pick-up/drop-off will be arranged by the school at the beginning of each school year, depending on the number and location of the students who register to use the service.
  • During the school year, if parents wish to change their pick-up/drop-off location or stop their transportation, they should notify the Admissions office for detailed instructions regarding the procedure.

02. Charges

  • The bus service provided by the school for students is not for business purposes. The fee is determined based on the actual cost of operating the bus system.
  • The published bus service fee is for students to be picked up/dropped-off at fixed points. The charge for pick-up/drop-off at home will be based on the actual situation and specific routes.

03. Bus quality

All the 16-seat school buses have air-conditioners, insurances … ensuring the best operating quality. Drivers are professional and experienced. Attentive, careful supervisors are in charge of caring and managing students, especially during pick-ups and drop-offs.

REGULATIONS ON BUYING UNIFORM
  • In the first school year, students purchase a full set of uniforms.
  • From the 2nd year, students can purchase products individually as needed.
REGULATIONS ON UNIFORM EXCHANGE
After receiving their uniforms, students are encouraged to try them on and thoroughly check for fit and quality. The school can exchange uniforms in the following cases:
  • Uniforms that do not fit properly
  • Uniforms with fabric tears or ripped seams
  • Defective uniforms due to objective reasons
  • Unused uniforms with original tags attached

03. Educational materials

At Edison, there are two types of educational materials: Specific Educational Materials and Essential Educational Materials. The detailed list of each type will be announced in the Annual Enrollment Guide.
  • Specific Educational Materials: These are published and provided by the school. Parents and students are required to purchase the complete set at the School Shop for each school year. Students should bring the items from this list to school as requested by the homeroom and subject teachers.
  • Essential Educational Materials: Parents can choose to purchase the complete set or individual items at the School Shop. These items can be reused from the previous year if available or can be purchased externally. Students should bring the items from this list to school as required by the homeroom and subject teachers.

01. Extracurricular program after school

To meet the needs of many Parents and Students, the school offers an extracurricular program that includes courses to enhance skills, improve physical strength, and develop emotions for students after regular classes. Typical extracurricular programs are MC Club, Media Club, Martial Arts Club …

02. After-school care service

In order to facilitate families wishing their children to stay at school after regular classes, the school provides after-school care service with the following specific information:

2.1. For families who register for the service with teacher supervision:
  • Parents register for the service with the school.
  • After-school care hours are from 17:00 onwards.
  • After the class is over, the homeroom teachers take students to the after-school care room with the supervision of the teachers.
  • tudents participate in activities such as reading, homework instructions, playing with toys.
  • Expenses:
    • From 17h00 – 17h30: 35,000 VND/session (calculated on the basis of minutes)
    • From 17h31 – 18h00: 75,000 VND/session (calculated on the basis of minutes)
    • From 18h01: 300,000 VND / hour (The school does not encourage families to leave their children at school too late).
2.2.  For families wishing their children to play freely at the school yard:
  • Commitments from the school:
    • Do not allow students to leave the campus without being accompanied by an adult (parents, or an authorized person)
    • Do not let strangers enter the school
    • Do not let vehicles travel freely on campus
  • Commitments from parents:
    • Sign a legal commitment (with a specific form) about being responsible for the child’s physical, psychological … safety.
