I knew Edison five years ago and had the opportunity to be involved since the school’s inception. I was excited to work at Edison because I wanted to expand my expertise as well as my abilities in such a fresh, exciting atmosphere. This academic year, 2023–2024, marks both Edison’s and my sixth working year here.

I’ve had a lot of recollections from my time as a Homeroom teacher and the Head of Homeroom Teacher Department. It is quite challenging, but it’s also an opportunity for me to thrive in both my work and life. I’ve made connections and worked with many parents and children, and had the chance to converse, comprehend, and empathize. Each student is a distinct and unique individual. The voyage towards gaining students’ empathy and trust, despite the hardships and barriers, will be rewarding. That’s when the students change for the better, that’s when they say, “Teacher, I have something to talk to you about!”. To me, each of those changes is a priceless gesture of gratitude!
