Academic Year Message
Dear Teachers, Staff, and Beloved Students,
As we embark on a new academic year, it’s a time to set forth our vision and goals for the exciting journey ahead. So, what’s our inspiration for the 2023-2024 academic year?
After thoughtful consideration, our teachers have chosen a theme that encapsulates our future aspirations. Building on the foundation we’ve nurtured over the past five years, fueled by our enthusiasm, aspiration, and inspiration, we’re ready for the Edison community to redefine leadership – to be the best and lead the way!

As we move forward, Edison must continue to steadfastly develop and embrace the values that have been our cornerstone from the beginning, embodying the School of Liberating and Humanitarian values – E.D.I.S.O.N:
- E for ENERGY: ENERGY
- D for DIVERSITY: DIVERSITY
- I for INNOVATION: INNOVATION
- S for SMILE: SMILE
- O for OPEN-MIND: OPEN HEART AND MIND
- N for NURTURE: CARE – LOVE
In a VUCA world, filled with volatility and uncertainty, it’s these values, formed through lessons, activities, projects, and experiences, that will guide our teachers and students into the future. They are the bedrock of character and maturity, transcending scores or achievements. These values shape who we become, our happiness, our ability to bring joy to others, and our contributions to society.
As we step into the 2023-2024 academic year, I wish everyone good health, positive energy, joy, and happiness. To our students and teachers, may this year be filled with fresh energy, a love for life and people, proactive spirit, confidence, and the freedom to choose, act, and courageously pioneer. May you dare to dream, write, and live your own future stories. Together, let us redefine leadership.
Mrs Le Tue Minh – President of Edison Schools’ Council
Firstly, in the spirit of the inventor Edison, our namesake, Edison Schools, embracing the philosophy of “Innovation for Life,” will continue to uphold our reputation as a Pioneer School. Recognized as a National Innovative School at the Creative Teachers Forum organized by Microsoft and the Ministry of Education in the 2022-2023 academic year, we are steadfast in our commitment to innovation in education. We’re continuously updating our educational programs, restructuring activities, and incorporating new educational directions to meet the evolving needs of students and society. Our students, the Eddies and Eddas, will play a pivotal role in initiating and leading various school programs and clubs, with dedicated support from our teachers.
Secondly, in a world increasingly shaped by technology and AI, it’s imperative that our future Eddies & Eddas not only stay updated on the latest technologies but also grasp the essence of Human Innovation Technology – Technology for Human Happiness. We are focused on developing robust programs in IT, AI, STEAM, and Robotics, encompassing all aspects of school life, from management to teaching and learning. Our position as a leading STEAM school in the global community is cemented by our recognition as a “Global Model School of Microsoft,” among more than 400 educational institutions globally.
Lastly, in our interconnected world, Edison is set to expand as an International Integration School. We’ll be enhancing global learning and competition trends, participating in international contests in fields like English, Mathematics, Science, IT, and Debate. Notably, we’re launching the Australian Dual High School Program this academic year, providing numerous opportunities for studying abroad and global exchange programs for our students.
